Esports organization FlyQuest is branching out into the competitive CS:GO scene by signing CLG’s ex-all-female team just in time for the ESL Impact League S3 Finals.

Quintet Joins FlyQuest Red

FlyQuest is an esports organization that is well-known for fielding teams in games such as League of Legends and Super Smash Bros. Melee. However, the brand decided to expand its outreach by entering the professional female CS:GO sphere by acquiring the ex-CLG Red’s roster ahead of the team’s ESL Impact Dallas campaign.

Since its formation in 2017, FlyQuest has been an important player in the North American esports scene. The signing of the CLG Red players comes a few months after the squad was desolated following the organization’s acquisition by NRG. The new team will aptly bar the name of FlyQuest Red.

The roster was released by CLG Red during the team’s ESL Impact League S3 campaign in April. However, the quintet decided to stay together until the end of the online component, in which they performed spectacularly, losing just one map to Shimmer, and eventually qualifying for the LAN stages.

In a statement by the organization, FlyQuest says that it has stepped in to “rescue” the professional CS:GO team. “FlyQuest will ensure that the important legacy of the program and its talented players can continue to thrive…this act of support reflects FlyQuest’s dedication to the esports community,” the statement reads. The roster’s previous coach and FlyQuest’s new Chief Culture Officer, Stephanie “missharvey” Harvey, said that the organization’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the players’ goals, legacy, and support is “nothing short of incredible”.

FlyQuest signed the players just in time for the organization to participate in the ESL Impact League S3 Finals, which are taking place currently, June 2-4 in Dallas, Texas. This is the player’s first tournament under the FlyQuest Red banner and the organization’s first foray into the competitive CS:GO scene. The squad kicks off Group B of the tournament with their debut match Russian team against 9 Pandas Fearless.

FlyQuest Red now look like this:

  • Mounira “?GooseBreeder?” Dobie
  • Vivienne “?BiBiAhn?” Quach
  • Kelsie “?uhKelsie?” Click
  • Coline “?Kaoday?” Le Floc’h
  • Marissa “?madss?” Dasta

Viktor “?flashie?” Tamás Bea (coach)
