  • It’s been just nine months since the org re-entered pro CS and it has already changed many players

After a string of failures these past few months, TSM decided to part ways with poizon, JACKZ, and KWERTZZ in the hopes of finding new talent.

TSM Releases Players

So far this year has not been very kind to TSM’s Counter-Strike 2 squad. Things are not getting better as the organization recently announced they have parted ways with three of its members. Valentin “poizon” Vasilev, Audric “JACKZ” Jug, and Simon “KWERTZZ” Horák are no longer part of the starting roster.

With just a few months spent on the roster, poizon and KWERTZZ leave the team with not great results. The two players posted just 0.89 and 0.97 ratings, respectively. Meanwhile, JACKZ was part of the original TSM roster that was put together in August 2023. However, he also sported a sub-1.0 rating and has been sitting on the bench since the beginning of this year.

The organization didn’t explain the reasons for the departure of the three players, but their performance seems like the most likely culprit. And it doesn’t look like TSM is in any hurry to replace them either, as the org said that they will reveal a new CS roster in the following months. Some fans questioned this news, saying that that’s quite a long waiting time, casting doubt on how serious the organization is about its affairs in competitive CS.

It Has Been a Tough Few Months for TSM

TSM’s rather short foray into competitive CS2 has not granted them many great moments. The organization re-entered competitive CS in August of last year under much fanfare. A slew of young but promising players were accompanied by two well-established veterans, which made many fans think the squad would quickly rise as one of the best in competitive CS.

Unfortunately, things didn’t work out like that as TSM ended up cycling through personnel at a prodigious rate. In the eight months since it re-debuted the organization has gone through nine different players and three coaches. Valdemar “valde” Bjørn Vangså is the only player who remains from the original lineup TSM constructed.

When poizon and KWERTZZ finalized their most recent roster iteration in February, coach Allan “Rejin” Petersen explained that the org is trying to find the right dynamic moving forward. Unfortunately, these two players did not bring the needed energy as TSM fell out from three qualifiers in the coming months and also performed poorly at the ESL Challenger League Season 47: Europe.

Time will tell what TSM’s future roster would look like and how it will perform.
