  • The organization has previously been a stepping stone for the likes of the Kovač brothers
  • The new lineup is composed of various veterans, including former iNation members

With is new roster led by veteran Luka “emi” Vuković, iNation is once again ready to make a splash on the CS scene, after a 9-month break.

iNation Announce Return

The popular Serbian esports organization iNation returned to the competitive Counter-Strike scene with a new team after a nine-month break. iNation initially withdrew from CS last year, citing their “region’s business market” as the reason for doing so.

However, it seems that now, the organization is ready to dive headfirst into the fray. The team’s return has been made possible with the support of Miloš Pavlović, the owner of Regnum, one of the biggest LAN cafés in Serbia. He found an investor to support the team and is taking up the role of CEO in the organization.

The organization has been present in esports since way back in 2008. It was a former clan tag commonly used by Serbian-based teams before the team’s initial revival in 2021. During its former run, the organization dominated various C-tier Counter-Strike events and was a veritable powerhouse in the Balkans.

The team has also been a major stepping stone for a lot of the current world-class players out there. G2’s Nemanja “nexa” Isaković has been a part of iNation at a point in his career, as well as the brothers Nikola “NiKo” Kovač, Nemanja “huNter-” Kovač.

Meet the Team

iNation’s new squad is led by 30-year-old veteran Luka “emi” Vuković a returnee to iNation, which he was a part of from 2015 until they were taken over by Binary Dragons, During his initial run with the old team, emi reached the Berlin Major in 2019.

“I was thinking a lot about making a Serbian lineup while I was without a team, but we obviously couldn’t make it work without an organization,” emi said in a recent interview. “Luckily, the owner of the Regnum Internet Café found an investor, so they merged with iNation to have a team set to compete as soon as possible.”

The captain is joined by two other players who have donned iNation’s colors in the past – Serbian Nikola “Dragon” Boskovic and North Macedonian Jane “aidKiT” Apostoloski. The team is rounded out by Luka “c0llins” Živanović, who was recently benched by Entropiq, and another Macedonian player, Zoran “xicoz” Markovski, who is also the youngest of the team at 20 years of age.

“We tried to pick players that fit role-wise but also who are working hard and want to achieve the goals set. I’m really happy to be part of this project, and hopefully, we’ll be able to compete with other good teams,” emi further explained. Composed of many veterans in the field, iNation offers a lot of potential in the future.
