New Esports Venue Revealed

With esports becoming more and more popular around the globe, certain companies are opening various specialized venues where promising players can train. Even various countries have stepped in on the action, helping organizations create said venues. One such case is True Gamers, a network of esports lounges, which recently opened a “cyber sports arena” with the aid of the Jordanian authorities.

Situated at the King Hussein Business Park in Amman, Jordan, the 1000-square-foot facility will play host to amateur and professional esports tournaments. True Gamers will also host its own events within the venue. It is hoped that the new facility will help further develop the growing popularity of esports in Jordanian.

According to a release, the primary aim of the collaboration is to “foster gaming culture in Jordan”. Creating new opportunities for aspiring professional gamers and gaming enthusiasts is also one of the top reasons that the facility has been opened. The venue will soon hold its first competition featuring teams representing Jordan and the United Arab Emirates.

The collaboration between True Gamers and the Jordanian authorities is also further proof of the former’s growth in the region recently. Earlier this year, True Gamers signed an agreement with Falak, a venture investment firm, to operate 150 esports lounges across Saudi Arabia.

Jordan Is Further Investing in Esports

With a population of over 4 million people, the Jordanian capital of Amman is one of the largest cities in the Middle East. Its significance as a cultural hotspot is further strengthened by its continually growing esports sector. In April 2024, MENA esports organization FATE Esports unveiled its facility in the capital city. True Gamers will further increase Amman’s popularity among esoports organizations and the city may become home to more of them in the future.

Vlad Belyanin, CPO of True Gamers, said the team at the company is thrilled about the new collaboration and the new opportunity to develop esports in Jordan. “We thank the Jordanian Esports Federation and the Royal Family, particularly His Royal Highness Prince Omar Bin Feisal, for their trust, and we are confident that our joint efforts will benefit the Kingdom and further stimulate innovation, economic growth, and social development,” Belyanin further explained.
