PGL And Oddin.gg Reveal Deal

PGL Major Copenhagen was a huge success, seeing an exceptional viewership, propelling it to the third-most watched event in Counter-Strike history. Following this, the organizer of the event, PGL, as well as Oddin.gg, the number one B2B choice for esports betting, have signed a substantive multi-year agreement, extending their already existing partnership.

The new deal will cover the two entities’ joint operations from 2024 to 2026. According to a press release, this event signals a fresh epoch for PGL events, spearheaded by the upcoming Wallachia Dota 2 tournament, which will be held in May 2024.

This event will be one of at least eight Dota 2 headline tournaments set to be held in the following years. PGL and Oddin.gg also promise to hold at least 11 Tier 1 Counter-Strike 2 events, each one featuring the elite of global teams, competing for prize pools of at least $1 million for each tournament.

Officials Comment about the Deal

It’s safe to say that the representatives of both entities were enthusiastic to share the news. The CEO of PGL, Silviu Stroie, explained how this deal will further grow the company’s influence and outreach in global esports. “Independence, innovation, and integrity are the pillars we stand on, promoting fairness and sustainability within the esports world. In Oddin.gg, we’ve found an ally that resonates with our ethos, making them the ideal partner as we forge ahead,” he said. “Our ongoing partnership solidified through a multi-year contract, echoes our mutual commitment to the community of esports.”

Stroie further explained that using Oddin.gg’s unmatched data and integrity expertise, the tournament organizer will elevate their events to a new level. “United, we are on a quest to curate unrivaled esports events, propelling this dynamic industry toward a vibrant and thrilling future,” he concluded.

Marek Suchar, Co-founder & Managing Director of Partnerships at Oddin.gg, matched this enthusiasm, reiterating the core principles that unite both companies. He also praised PGL for the mastery of organizing the top three most-watched Counter-Strike and the two most-watched Dota 2 tournaments in history. One of these was the previously-mentioned PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, which saw over 1.8 million concurrent viewers, according to Esports Charts.

“With the dynamic evolution expected in 2025, we are both excited and privileged to align with PGL’s visionary path for the esports community to support, protect, and entertain esports fans,” Suchar commented about the two companies’ plans. “This partnership is a strategic step towards enhancing the global esports experience, and we eagerly anticipate the groundbreaking advancements PGL will introduce for Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2 in the years ahead.”
