The San Diego video game developer Psyonix, announces a partnership with the National Football League (NFL) that the new 2021 NFL Fan Pass will be available in Rocket League starting September 9.

Tons of New Content Awaits Players

As the NFL Kickoff between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Dallas Cowboys is in the offing, Rocket League players will be able to purchase the 2021 NFL Fan Pass for 1,000 credits. This unlocks new animate Dominus Decals for all 32 teams that will participate in this year’s NFL season as well as the new Pigskin Paint Finish. This partnership comes by popular demand as a similar tie-up proved an immediate success with NFL and Rocket League fans who hoped for more similar activations.

Players will not only get items on purchase but will automatically get access to any new content that is going to be released during the NFL season, with new content scheduled to be added for special occasions this season.

For example, on Thanksgiving in November, players will receive 32 NFL Team Player Banners, Team Octane, and Team Antennas Decals. For the celebration of the end of the 2021 season and Super Bowl LVI, players will also get 32 NFL Team Fennec Decals, Team Breakout Decals, and Team Helmet Toppers. Other content, such as the LTM Gridiro, will also make a return at the start of the season.

The Season Kicks off With an Online Event

Being a deceptively simple game, Rocket League has built a solid following over the past 12 months. The game went free-to-play last year and popularity immensely soared leading to opportunistic partnerships with the NFL and others.

To help the return of the NFL to Rocket League, the Gridiron Games will be broadcast live on Twitch on September 9 at 10 am PDT. Goldenboy and JonSandman are going to host the event, which will have a single-elimination bracket of four teams made up of Rocket League pros. Some players that we can expect to see in the event are CBell, Dreaz, Mr-Napkin, Hoodyhooo, Neato, krissy, herculyse, Rocket Sledge, retals, Wayton Pilkin, Torment, and Striped, among many others.
