  • Kick will host various in-person and on-site activations during DreamHack‘s 2024 events
  • This is a huge step for Kick as it establishes itself as a big streaming platform
  • “DreamHack and Kick will create unforgettable IRL experiences that will last a lifetime”, said Kick representatives

This year’s DreamHack events will have even more outreach thanks to a partnership that will bring Kick streamers closer to their audience.

ESL FACEIT Group Announces Partnership with Kick

ESL FACEIT Group is one of the biggest esports organizers in the world and its DreamHack series of gaming and esports events is arguably its most famous product. The company is constantly trying to further popularize the events through various means. For this reason, ESL FACEIT Group recently partnered with streaming platform Kick.

The one-year deal will see Kick host in-person and on-site activations during DreamHack Melbourne, Dallas, Atlanta, and Stockholm. These four events will focus on streamers and creators, making Kick a natural choice as a partner for them.

DreamHack Melbourne, the first of these four events, will be held later this month from April 26 – 28. The events will visit Dallas from May 31 – June 2, Atlanta from Oct. 4 – 6, and Stockholm from Nov. 22 – 24. A “selection of Kick’s content creators” will take part in panel sessions, meet-and-greets, booth activations, and more, according to the announcement.

What Does the Deal Mean for Kick?

Founded in late 2022 by Stake co-founders Bijan Tehrani and Ed Craven and content creator Trainwreckstv, Kick has made a huge splash in the streaming field. The platform has seen massive growth over the last year and a half, taking up a significant portion of the online viewership market. With it signing multiple high-profile streamers, Kick has become a viable alternative to other streaming platforms like Twitch.

The deal with ESL FACEIT Group, one of the biggest esports organizers in the world, marks yet another achievement for Kick and is further proof that the platform has made a big impact in its relatively short lifespan so far. The partnership will also allow Kick to “create opportunities for much-needed face time between the platform and its creators”. It also marks the first time that Kick is organizing similar activations in person.

“Kick is a creator-first platform, making it natural for us to team up with the DreamHack experience in four major cities worldwide. The Kick team thanks ESL/EFG for recognizing us as a brand that strives to lead the live-streaming industry,” said Akhil Sarin, the Chief Marketing Officer at Kick, about the partnership.

“Together, in 2024, DreamHack and Kick will create unforgettable IRL experiences that will last a lifetime”.

“In fact, we would argue that Bitcasino’s esports product is one of the best we have experienced. It’s simple, clear-cut, and offers a variety of products and options that other platforms are failing to deliver on.”
