Into the Breach continues to bench players, the latest one being Karol “rallen” Rodowicz, leaving the team with just one active member.

UK-based esports organization Into The Breach has been conducting some major changes to its Counter-Strike 2 roster over the past few weeks. The latest one of these is the moving of Polish player Karol “rallen” Rodowicz to the transfer list.
With this maneuver, Into The Breach’s active roster is down to just one player. This is because before rallen was moved, they had already benched Kévin “misutaaa” Rabier, Aurimas “Bymas” Pipiras, coach Gustavo “Juve” Alexandre, and Thomas “Thomas” Utting in the past three weeks. The last remaining active player on the roster is Joey “CRUC1AL” Steusel.
At the time of writing of this article, the organization has not yet explained why it has come to this situation. However, rallen took it upon himself to say what had happened. In a statement on Twitter, the player expressed his disappointment with the timing of his benching, wishing information about this had come earlier.
“Personally, I’m a bit sad because if I had received any signal about the current situation, I could already be in a different place, as you probably heard, I had offers a while ago,” rallen wrote. He additionally hinted that his removal from the active roster, along with those of the previously mentioned players and coach, was due to the organization failing to qualify for the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen. “Our main goal has not been achieved – qualifying for the major, so the organization’s policy is changing,” he wrote.
ITB Has Been Struggling Over the Past Months
As rallen suggested, ITB has not achieved its stated goal, leading to the organization changing many things. In February, during the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024: European RMR A, ITB suffered three losses in a row from G2, BetBoom, and 3DMAX, resulting in the organization being eliminated, and losing its opportunity to participate in the main event.
Unfortunately for ITB, the upcoming PGL Copenhagen Major whose broadcast talents were recently revealed, isn’t the only tournament that the team will miss out on. The organization also failed to proceed through the RES Western European Masters: Spring 2024 – Open Qualifier #2, which would eventually have led them to participate in the BLAST Premier: Spring Showdown 2024 that concluded this Sunday.
Nevertheless, rallen has not let the recent turn of events break his spirit. He said that it’s still the early days of CS2, which was launched less than six months ago, so he needs competition, success, and motivated players in his team.
