- X10 CRIT has shared details about its new VALORANT roster
- The Thai organization parted ways with its former players at the beginning of 2022
- Some fans still wonder whether fielding a new team was the right move for X10
The Thai organization X10 CRIT has announced its new lineup for the 2022 competitive VALORANT season.
X10 CRIT Listed Its New Players
The Thailand-based esports organization X10 CRIT has unveiled its new VALORANT roster ahead of the 2022 VALORANT Champions Tour. The organization performed decently last year and hopes to achieve even more in the new VCT season.
Bullish on making a name for itself, X10 CRIT will introduce a new roster comprised entirely of Thai athletes. The players are promising local talents with competitive experience who are motivated to play under the organization’s banner. Here is who they are:
- Apiwat “garnets” Apiraksukumal
- Kitisak “SeveN89” Kititharakun
- Nuttadet “xcool” Wijit
- Thanachok “notxd” Rattanapranee
- Flukky
The new roster comes a month after X10 CRIT decided to part ways with its former players and start anew. In December 2021, X10’s most notable player, Patiphan “Patiphan” Chaiwong, decided to leave the VALORANT scene and return to competing in Overwatch. On January 4, the organization dismissed the rest of its players in a move that left fans bewildered.
Fans Wonder Whether the New Team Will be As Successful
By all accounts, X10 CRIT’s decision to clean house was surprising. Its former roster exceeded all expectations and made the organization’s name known to the world. The team’s previous iteration qualified for both the VCT Masters 2 Reykjavík and for the VALORANT Champions event. Not only that, but X10 CRIT managed to stand on its own against some of the staples in completive VALORANT, including Envy and Gambit.
The organization may have been disheartened by Patiphan’s leave as he was at the core of those victories. Even so, some fans still wonder whether or not X10’s decision to introduce an entirely new lineup is a mistake.
“We believe in nurturing young bloods and give them the opportunity to compete at the highest level,” is what the organization had to say on the matter.
X10’s new players will get this opportunity very soon. The VCT Thailand Stage 1 Challengers begins on February 10. X10’s roster will have the chance to shine and earn a spot in the APAC Challengers as well as a share of the $24,000 prize pool.
