WePlay Esports is building upon its relationship with Esports Charts, a premier aggregator of data from esports events. Through an expansion of the companies’ existing partnership, the pair is looking to enhance the esports viewing experience. WePlay, an established host of esports events, will be able to leverage Esports Charts’ comprehensive data in real-time to achieve this milestone.
The renewed partnership will now extend through 2022 and bring on in-depth analytics to viewers’ screens. WePlay and Esports Charts will pool their efforts to deliver on joint content development initiatives that will ultimately benefit gaming fans who are tuning in for the best esports experience possible.
The pair first collaborated back in 2019, so that Esports Charts was offering various technical solutions to WePlay’s tournaments, including the Dota 2 AniMajor and some of the most recent initiatives, such as the WePlay Academy League, targeting grassroots Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players from established franchises.
WePlay Esports head of product Rostyslav Salata offered some insight on what the companies expect from the present partnership. In short, Salata wants the companies to move towards two individual pivots.
The first one is to create a new way of collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data. This process would focus on esports at first, but it would expand to any digital sports in general. The second one is just as technical and beneficial to the competitive gaming ecosystem“:
