The reveal of the latest Call of Duty game is good news for Warzone fans as Vanguard will feature an anti-cheat system that may put an end to rampant hacking offenses in the franchise.
Vanguard Says No to Cheaters in Warzone
The tide of the war waged against Call of Duty Warzone may be finally turning. Sledgehammer Games’ forthcoming installment in the franchise, Vanguard, will arrive with a new anti-cheat system that will be immediately implemented with Warzone, the battle royale version of the game, and hopefully, deal a crucial blow to the throngs of cheaters who abuse the game today.
Warzone has suffered tremendously from those hacking offenses with aim-bots and wallhacks continuously plaguing regular gameplay and forcing prominent streamers and players, including Dr. Disrespect out of the game. The situation did hit its nadir ahead of Season 5 which was released earlier in August and saw a mass exodus of players dropping Warzone on stream and urging followers to do the same.
Call of Duty League player Ian “Crimsix” Porter has repeatedly warned that this sort of thing would be the end of the Challengers scene for one. Raven Software, the game working on Call of Duty: Warzone under Activision’s umbrella has been fighting tooth and nail to eradicate hacking.
Developers have already taken measures that have effectively killed the online black markets for hacked accounts. Raven Software has put forward a special tracing tool that allows developers to identify spoofers and remove them from the game. However, the arrival of Vanguard can really improve the situation drastically.
In the Trenches for another Few Months
A solution may have been found, but the war is far from over. With Call of Duty: Warzone being a free-to-play game, hackers have little concern about losing an account in a culling. However, Vanguard seems to be upping the ante when it comes to the special anti-cheat system arriving.
The anti-cheat system promises to ameliorate the situation with hacking in Warzone, which could drastically reduce the number of hackers. Or, at least that is the message Activision is communicating with Vanguard’s release.
Vanguard is slated to arrive on November 5, 2021, and will be available for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
