TSM’s New Lineup Debuts in VALORANT’s Game Changers
Team SoloMid is one of the largest professional esports organizations. Based in North America, it has been no stranger to esports from all genres across the board. TSM got quickly on the VALORANT train and now came out to announce their first all-women roster for the game.
The team will be comprised of former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player CAth and streamers athxna, lunarkats, Zoessie, and mleQT. CAth marks a tendency of many CS:GO players moving to VALORANT because of the games’ similarities and ease of transferring former experience. CS:GO was also a game with strong female participation and numerous all-women events.
The new roster will make its debut in the Valorant Champions Tour Game Changers Series that became a reality the previous month. The special competitive circuit was created by Riot with the intention of focusing on women and marginalized genders by providing them with both guidance and a scene to shine and gain experience.
TSM’s team isn’t a novelty, as many esports organizations have been looking to establish professional women’s teams. VALORANT has been a surprisingly fast-growing and inclusive game. Earlier, Cloud9 and Evil Geniuses participated in events with some mixed rosters, and CLG Red announced its own all-women lineup.
We can look forward to seeing how TSM’s new team will fare during the exciting Game Changers Series.
