- Vision Strikers to let k1Ng play on loan for ESports Connected
- Lakia, who shared k1Ng’s responsibilities in 2021, will now step up

Vision Strikers are adjusting their lineup as they seek to perform better in the upcoming Valorant Champions Tour in South Korea in 2022.
K1Ng and Lakia Set Vision Strikers’ Opening Bid for 2022
A growing number of esports organizations are beginning to look like professional sports franchises. With players loaned to other teams to generate additional money for the org, it’s not exactly surprising that Vision Strikers are lending one of their Valorant players to another team.
However, in this case, it’s Lee “k1Ng” Seung-won we are talking about. K1Ng has been a highly efficient performer all throughout 2021, making him the engineer of the team’s successes throughout the competitive season.
Now, though, he has been sent to ESports Connected where he will play on loan during the VALORANT Champions Tour in South Korea. While k1Ng has played a strong game, he couldn’t help his team past the group stages in the previous Champions event, forcing Vision Strikers to start exploring additional gameplay options.
K1Ng though was the go-to option for the majority of the season, sharing his role with Kim “Lakia” Jong-min. Lakia, though, has not been very active, or at least, he did not sub for k1Ng too often. Lakia though will have to step up now that k1Ng is playing for another team, even temporarily.
Vision Strikers will be trying to train the player and training his confidence so he can perform at least as well as k1Ng. There is a hidden gambit in borrowing k1Ng to another team, as the experience he could gather may reflect positively back on his team upon his return.
Of course, much could happen between now and then with Lakia becoming the favorite and k1Ng finding his new team a little too comfortable.
