Reports: Nivera to Join His Brother ScreaM in Team Liquid

in Valorant
May 14, 2021
  • VALORANT player Nivera will reportedly be moving to Team Liquid’s lineup
  • This would be Team Liquid’s second change for the year
  • Moreover if this turns to be correct, Nivera will be playing together with his brother ScreaM

According to 1pv.fr Nivera is on the way to join his brother ScreaM among the ranks of Team Liquid’s VALORANT roster.

Young Star Nivera to Become a Part of Team Liquid

According to an exclusive report by the French esports site 1pv.fr, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player Nabil “Nivera” Benrlitom will be leaving Team Vitality to join Team Liquid’s VALORANT lineup.

This is yet to be officially confirmed as the teams continue their negotiations by any of the people involved but will probably be made clear once the Valorant Champions Tour Reykjavík comes to pass.

Nivera is a young 19-years old player who is currently sitting on Team Vitality’s bench. Nivera joined the team as a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player in 2020. Although he is fairly young, he didn’t lack in skills and quickly proved himself by helping them win the BLAST Premier Fall Finals and IEM Beijing Europe tournaments where the team faced Astralis and NaVi respectively. However, Nivera was eventually benched following Valve’s decision to penalize teams who lay off players during the Regional Major Ranking.

If Nivera ends up joining Team Liquid, this will make it the second time this year that the team has made adjustments. Earlier Liquid welcomed Elias “Jamppi” Olkkonen and had Adam “ec1s” Eccles leave the active roster. This improved Liquid’s performance, crowned them champions of the VCT 2021 EMEA Stage Two Challengers Finals and secured their spot in the Reykjavík Masters.

This is the moment you've been waiting for…

1pv.fr didn’t announce which Liquid player will be making a way for the Nivera but it will certainly not be Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom, the young player’s brother who is currently a top VALORANT esports athlete. If Nivera indeed ends up in Liquid, he will finally have the chance to play alongside his brother in Riot’s competitive shooter.

If everything occurs as per 1pv.fr’s report, Nivera will be one of many players to leave CS:GO in favor of VALORANT. This was the case with Jamppi as well, who joined Liquid earlier this year.
