FaZe Clan VALORANT Roster Leaked Prior to VCT NA

in Valorant
January 25, 2022
  • Tournament page Battlefy unintentionally leaks FaZe Clan’s new VALORANT roster composition
  • The organization has been eying up two Dicey and ShoT_UP for a few weeks
  • The two enter a rebuilt FaZe roster

FaZe Clan is rebuilding its VALORANT roster, adding four new players in hopes of performing well in the upcoming VCT NA.

FaZe Signs Dicey and ShoT_UP

As the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022 NA Stage 1 is drawing near, many organizations are frantically looking to complete their rosters before the competition begins. One such organization, scrambling at the last minutes, is FaZe, who recently had their new rebuilt roster leaked on tournament page Battlefy.

It seems according to the leak, that FaZe has signed former 100 Thieves player Quan “Dicey” Tran, as well as ex-Immortals player Andrew “ShoT_UP” Orlowski. There were rumors earlier in January that the organization was eyeing up both players. They were sighted practicing with FaZe a few weeks ago.

However, despite their names being written on Battlefy’s page, FaZe has yet to announce anything. It seems this is a case of miscommunication between the two organizations. Nevertheless, it is pretty much certain that Dicey and ShoT_UP will be part of FaZe’s roster.

FaZe Rebuilds its VALORANT Roster

Dicey and ShoT_UP will be joining former Teal Seam players Chris “LarryBanks” Doyi and Xavier “flyuh” Carlson for the upcoming season. The only remaining player from FaZe’s previous roster is Andrej “BABYBAY” Francisty, who has been with the organization since August 2020, which shows how much FaZe values him. The new lineup means four out of the five members are newly hired.

The team is going to be coached by Counter-Strike player Josh “JDM” Marzano. The team’s previous head coach, Thomas “Trippy” Schappy, was demoted to assistant coach last September.

Following the breakup of FaZe’s former roster, sentinel player Hunter “BabyJ” Schline joined 100 Thieves to complete their roster, after leaving the organization in November. He was initially signed by FaZe after one of their key players, Jimmy “Marved” Nguyen, decided to join Team Envy during the latter part of the VCT 2021 season.

Another former FaZe Clan player, Corey Nigra, left the organization earlier this year and was moved to TSM alongside Daniel “Rossy” Abedrabbo, completing TSM’s new VALORANT roster.

FaZe Clan’s rebuilt roster will make its debut at the upcoming open qualifier for the VCT North America Stage One: Challengers, which starts on January 27 and concludes on March 27.
