  • The team has suffered a three-match loss streak at NA VCT Challengers North America Split 2
  • Disguised Toast explained in a lengthy Twitter post why he thinks this is the case
  • Despite it all, he is still hopeful for the future of the VALORANT team

Disguised Toast has acknowledged that his relative lack of experience in the competitive VALORANT scene is the reason why his team has been struggling in NA VCT Challengers.

Toast Talks About His Team

Popular streamer Disguised Toast revealed his very own professional competitive VALORANT team in early January this year after months of work. However, the roster, which carried his name, has not been performing as well as the content creator and his fans had hoped so.

Disguised has had a terrible start in the group stage of the NA VCT Challengers North America Split 2, suffering three straight defeats. The team’s performance in the previous event, the VALORANT Challengers 2023: North America Face Off, was equally bad, suffering two 0-2 defeats from M80 and TSM respectively.

Disguised’s only notable success is are their early matches in the VALORANT Challengers Open Qualifiers in January. Following that, the team’s performance has only been going down. After months of trouble, the streamer finally opened up about the organization’s struggles in a lengthy Twitter post.

“Sorry to all the DSG fans for our performances recently,” the post reads. “Esports have definitely been one of the more challenging experiences I’ve faced in my career. “I’ve always been pretty confident in my content but for the first time in a long while – I have been having a lot of doubts about my decision-making.”

The popular streamer explained that a lot of problems lie in his comparative lack of experience in any competitive FPS sphere. He added that this weighs heavily on making choices over the livelihood of the organization’s players. Disguised Toast also said that the losses have been difficult to handle due to the amount of attention and pressure the team received thanks to his name behind the players.

He further explained that dealing with the losses has been hard, as the players would often message the streamer after each defeat to apologize for what had happened. “They are each trying their best and that is all anyone can ask from someone,” Disguised Toast said.

Despite the many troubles his team has been experiencing in recent months, the streamer said he does not regret entering the competitive VALORANT scene. “I’m very proud of what we have done in the short time we’ve been here and still am excited for the future,” the streamer wrote.

He concluded his Twitter post by thanking the fans who support the team because they have done so because of him. He stated he wanted to share his experience, despite the many pitfalls, and said everyone on the team will keep trying their best.
