Cloud9 adds Floppy and Xeppaa to VALORANT Roster

in Valorant
April 20, 2021
  • Cloud9 has added CS:GO community members and players Floppy and Xeppaa to reinforce the organization's VALORANT squad
  • C9 struggled in 2020, but the team is right back on track in 2021 and looking to make it to the Challenger Finals
  • Players will face many challenges, including from rival teams as 100 Thieves and FaZe Clan

More CS:GO players join VALORANT as Cloud9 has recruited Floppy and Xeppaa as its latest additions for the organization's squad.

Floppy and Xeppaa to Bring C9's VALORANT A-Game

Cloud9 is strengthening its VALORANT line-up by adding Ricky “floppy” Kemer to the team, the organization revealed in a tweet on Monday. Rumored for a week now, the transition is finally a reality giving Cloud9 a renewed squad that will hopefully leave its mark on the competitive ecosystem.

Floppy is joined by another skilled rifler, Erick “Xeppaa” Bach who is the second high-profile addition for Cloud9. Moving from Counter-Strike: Global Offensive onto VALORANT follows in a trend where many top-tier players have decided to give Riot Games' fantasy shooter a stab.

Xeppaa is another Counter-Strike veteran who previously competed for Chaos. He studied and played under Joshua “steel” Nissan and quickly honed his skills to the point where they were noticed by some of the top-tier teams in VALORANT and CS:GO.

Cloud9's VALORANT roster can use the reorganization and addition of new players. Following a challenging 2020, C9 is ready to take another shot at securing a better spot among the top-ranking organizations.

Cloud9 is already making some progress, defeating Gen.G and Immortals in VCT Stage Two: Challengers Two, and by all means, the additions of Xeppaa and Floppy should only contribute to the team's staying power.

Cloud9 Is Back on Track, Time to Crack the Challenges Finals

The true test of Cloud9's VALORANT mettle will come in the coming weeks, with the organization looking to break into the Challengers Finals, which is the crowning event for the game's competitive season.

The event will take place in Reykjavik, Iceland, with a sizable prize pool up for grabs. However, before talks about prize pools can even be broached, Cloud9 will still have to overcome the likes of 100 Thieves and FaZe Clan.

Xeppaa and Floppy are joining Son “xeta” Seon-ho, Mitch Semago, Nathan “leaf” Orf, and Michael “poiz” Possis.
