100 Thieves reworked its VALORANT roster once again, following its suboptimal performance in the first months of the VCT season.
100 Thieves Released Most of Its Former Players
100 Thieves continues working hard to improve its position on the professional VALORANT scene. Despite being one of the most famous esports organizations, its VALORANT team had a really weak 2021 campaign, prompting the higher-ups to make some changes to the lineup.
In January 2022, 100 Thieves unveiled its new competitive VALORANT roster. However, the team didn’t achieve the success the organization envisioned, forcing the organization to revamp the roster once again.
100 Thieves has now opted to part ways with all its VALORANT athletes, with the exception of Peter “Asuna” Mazuryk who has been a staple since 2020. The team forced players such as Adam “ec1s” Eccles and Hunter “BabyJ” Schline out mere weeks after acquiring them. Ethan “Ethan” Arnold, on the other hand, got benched.
Four New Members Joined the Team
100 Thieves has finished its work on the new VALORANT roster. The organization has decided to acquire some promising talents. Players such as William “Will” Cheng, Derrek “Derrek” Ha and Brenden “stellar” McGrath will be joining Asuna on the team.
Additionally, Team SoloMid will lend Sean “bang” Bezerra to 100 Thieves, helping the latter organization complete its new lineup. Here is what 100 Thieves’ finalized roster looks like:
- Peter “Asuna” Mazuryk
- Derrek “Derrek” Ha
- Brenden “stellar” McGrath
- William “Will” Cheng
- Sean “bang” Bezerra
The new players will have the responsible task to guide 100 Thieves to victory and help the organization qualify for the major VALORANT events – something that the previous lineups couldn’t do.
To make sure that its athletes are well-trained, 100 Thieves recently introduced some major additions to its coaching team. The organization recently reinforced the coaching staff with the addition of Michael “Mikes” Hockom as an assistant coach and the former VALORANT caster Daniel “ddk” Kapadia as general manager.
The latest change prior to the introduction of 100 Thieves’ new VALORANT players, was the leave of the legend Spencer “Hiko” Martin. The player decided to halt his professional career and instead focus on streaming.
