OTK and WePlay Sign Strategic Deal
Popular tournament organizer WePlay Esports has recently entered a strategic partnership with One True King (OTK). The latter is an organization known for putting together events that feature high-profile Twitch streamers, and aptly, the announcement of the deal was made on Asmongold’s Twitch, one of the platform’s most popular faces.
OTK has been known to make interesting events with many streamers, but although the organization has been around for a few years, it always seemed to lack a budget. Now, the Asmongold-led org will enter a partnership with WePlay Esports which will allow it to use the latter’s Los Angeles studio for live programming, including their upcoming OTK Games Expo. This will greatly increase OTK’s production quality by using a professional tournament organizer, who is proficient in developing live events within esports.
OTK’s COO Tips Out said during the announcement that the organization has tried to greatly push the envelope over what content creation can be. “Moving forward, we’ve got an awesome production partner to help us out with that,” he explained.
Here’s What WePlay Esports Provides OTK
WePlay Esports has grown rapidly over the past few years and boasts gaming arenas from Kyiv to Los Angeles, the organization does not seem to stop with its development and partnerships.
The organization’s Los Angeles studio, which will now be provided to OTK, has augmented reality capabilities that OTK plans on incorporating into their live entertainment. WePlay’s studio is also able to have a live audience of 143 people and support a casting/analyst desk on an upper floor.
Pre0existing programs like Matthew “Mizkif” Rinaudo shows “Schooled” and “Parasocial” are planned to be done in the new studio. “It’s incredible to think that a year and a half ago, we were all at Esfand’s house with one camera and a dream,” Mizkif said.
The OTK Games Expo will be the first event to be held at WePlay’s studio. It will feature more than 30 different games across genres and platforms premiering at the event. The OTK Games Expo starts at 2 p.m. ET on Wednesday and viewers can watch it on Asmongold’s Twitch channel.
With WePlay Esports’ help, OTK will finally have the opportunities it needs to become a fully-fledged gaming event organizer.
