Everything We Know About the Closed Alpha
Game developer company Krafton announced that the first bite of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds: New State’s is just around the corner. This was officially revealed in an official announcement video on YouTube.
It was revealed that a closed alpha is coming soon. Sadly for global fans, the alpha will be held only in the United States, where in the first quarter of the year the game’s predecessor PUBG Mobile’s sales ranked second only to FreeFire. The game is currently planned to be an Android exclusive with no news of it being support by another platform.
Registrations for the closed alpha will begin in a few days, according to the announcement. The feedback of the American audience will be crucial so that Krafton can fine-tune everything before the global release.
The release date of the full game is yet to be announced and will probably depend on what is discovered during the alpha tests. However the South Korean developers had promised it will be sometime this year.
A Sneak Peak into New State
PUBG: New State will be a more futuristic entry in the beloved PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds franchise. It was announced by Krafton’s independent PUBG Studio around the same time PUBG mobile reached the important milestone of a billion downloads.
New State will be set in 2051. It will keep the well-known and loved PUBG aesthetic with a futuristic twist, including drones, futuristic vehicles and weapons etc. The first map we are getting introduced to is Troi. It will be 8 square kilometers, very much like Erangel.
PUBG has grown to be one of the most popular first-person shooter and battle royale games. This is further supported by the constant demand to re-release the game in India, where it was previously banned.
With constant support and introduction of new content, the universe has kept fans interested in the franchise for four years already. PUBG: New State will bring a gulp of fresh air to the universe that is sure to spark fans’ excitement even more.
