The Twitch Rivals tournament series have found a major supporter in the face of the cryptocurrency exchange platform As the two parties have signed a partnership, the latter will become Twitch Rivals’ official cryptocurrency platform partner.

The deal will see Twitch and collaborate on various activations during the next Twitch Rivals event and other broadcasts. Furthermore, the agreement will have the crypto exchange’s brand propagated through the inclusion of its logo in up to 250 Twitch Rivals broadcasts annually.

The chief executive and co-founder of, Kris Marszalek, spoke on the deal. He revealed that’s team is extremely excited to add Twitch Rivals into the crypto platform’s growing portfolio of the world’s best brands in sports.

“With well-over 1 billion gamers worldwide, fans of gaming and esports are digital natives, for whom cryptocurrency is inevitable,” Marszalek pointed out.

Twitch is also excited about the value the collaboration will add to the Twitch Rivals series. The head of global sponsorship sales at Twitch, Lou Garate, firmly believes that the league’s loyal next-gen fans will appreciate the partnership. Garate mentioned that through this deal, Twitch is looking forward to “continuing to create new and exciting moments to drive engagement” for its passionate and tech-savvy viewers.”

The Healthy Relationship Between Esports and Crypto Continues

Twitch Rivals is neither the first, not the last esports league or organization to sign a partnership with a cryptocurrency firm. This year has proven fruitful for such partnerships as various other esports bodies have inked different deals with various crypto companies.

The esports organization Fnatic also shook hands with this September. Earlier than that, Natus Vincere signed a similar deal with the crypto company Bybit. Even big tournament organizers like BLAST Premier have shown interest in the prospects of crypto for the esports ecosystem, as it collaborated with the crypto exchange Coinbase.

Industry analysts have remarked that esports and cryptocurrencies have much in common as they both operate in the digital space, are fairly new and are beloved by young and tech-savvy people. Since the esports fans and crypto traders demographics often overlap, it has become commonplace for organizations from the two industries to show interest in working together.
