TSM FTX has finally decided to join Dota 2 esports and has signed the previously independent Team Undying, one of the fan-favorites.

Team Undying Joins TSM FTX

Team SoloMid FTX, one of the leading organizations in esports, has finally heard fans’ calls and will be arriving in competitive Dota 2. The esports giant has signed the North American Team Undying, a fairly new roster that was formed in 2021.

This is big news for both fans of TSM FTX and Team Undying. Fans have long wondered why the organization refrains from competing in Dota 2. After all, TSM is one of the most influential organizations, fields some of the best teams, and definitely has the resources to field a Dota 2 team as well.

Fans need to wonder no more as TSM is not only arriving in professional Dota 2 but will have one of the fan-favorite teams playing under its banner.

With TSM’s help behind their backs, the talented Team Undying players will continue their story. The team just finished second in the DPC NA 2021/22 Tour 1: Division 1 and will next compete in the DPC Winter Tour Regional Finals where it will strive for a share of the $100,000 prize pool and the 380 DPC points for taking.

NA Fans Should “Expect a New Era”

Team Undying was created in 2021 and fields some of the best players in professional Dota 2. It is led by the experienced in-game leader David “MoonMeander” Tan Boon Yang. Throughout their 2021 campaign, despite being orgless, Team Undying defeated some of the most esteemed teams in Dota 2 and managed to reach The International 10 and finish in 13-16th place.

Team Undying exited TI10 $600,300 richer and seeing their own success, the players decided to not make any changes to the roster.

It is interesting to see how Team Undying will change as it becomes a part of TSM FTX. For starters, TSM FTX’s strong financial position will be a huge help for the squad as it will no longer need to entirely depend on fan donations and tournament winnings.

MoonMeander called the deal with TSM FTX “a dream come true.” He told fans to watch out and “expect a new era” in Dota 2 North America.
