  • The results are comparative and on annual basis with Trovo seeing 715% year-over-year growth in Q3 2021
  • The numbers are reported by Rainmaker and StreamElements which looked into the streaming trends of 2021
  • Grand Theft Auto V continues to dominate streaming platforms, winning the top spot at both Twitch and Trovo

Trovo has been one of the platforms to report continuous growth over the quarters in 2021 with the platform posting impressive year-over-year results.

Trovo Shoots for the Stars with 2021 Streaming Results

Trovo is dubbed the silent killer Twitch. While the platform is probably a long, long way off from actually doing any killing, it’s certainly posting steady growth over the last quarter, as per a new report by Rainmaker and StreamElements which looked into the latest streaming trends of 2021 in a joint report.

Based on that report, Trovo is proving to be an impressive force in space. The total hours watched in the third quarter of 2021 increased by 715% compared to the hours watched in the third quarter of 2020.

The third-quarter hours watched reached 763 million, posting an impressive overall trend for the platform. In comparison, Trovo had only 8.9 million hours watched back in Q3 2020. Interestingly, Trovo managed to galvanize a slightly different audience of streamers and content creators.

Grand Theft Auto V Seems to Be #1 Everywhere

That is to say that comparing the Twitch and Trovo most-watched titles, the ranking looked somewhat different. One title that managed to dominate both platforms was Grand Theft Auto V. The timeless classic has proven a king of Twitch and Trovo both.

Looking down at the following numbers, most of the games that dominated were all recognized esports. Call of Duty: Mobile came in second with 22.5 million hours watched.

League of Legends was understandably next with 15.7 million hours and Free Fire saw 14.5 million hours clocked in. Fortnite had 14.2 million hours watched and Dota 2 saw 13.5 million. PUBG Mobile had another 12.9 million.

Minecraft saw 11.4 million hours watched along with 9.4 million hours for Valorant and 8 million hours for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Overall, Trovo is nowhere near posting any serious results in comparative terms with Twitch. However, the streaming platform has been able to report a considerable and impressive pace of growth over the past years.
