With the end of the 2022 Dota Pro Circuit Winter Tour regional leagues, the top teams from each region have been locked in. Team Spirit, PSG.LGD, and Thunder Predator score perfect records.

North American Region

The first stage of the DPC Winter Tour is over, and despite its share of controversies, the tournament has yielded a few regional champions that will face off at the Regional Final.

This year’s competitive seasons started very dynamically, with a lot of older rosters crumbling, only to be replaced by new faces. Only one of the six regions saw a team repeat from last year’s DPC, and that’s Quincy Crew. They became regional champions, but even they had a vastly changed roster composition, building it around Quinn and YawaR, by signing three new players.

QC emerged victorious from their altercation with Team Undying’s players. The only ones that managed to stand up to them were Evil Geniuses, who also had a revamped roster composition around Nightfall and JerAx.

Western Europe Region

Team Liquid climbed to first place in the WE region, with the help of MATUMBAMAN and zai from Team Secret. By doing this, they broke up a core of players, that were together since 2018. Despite this, TL’s new squad scored a 6-1, with their only loss coming against Nigma Galaxy.

Team Secret, Nigma, and Alliance won’t be attending the Major for the first time since the new DPC format was adopted. Team Tickles (formerly Vikin.gg) and Tundra Esports’ magnificent performance led to a massive shift in power within the region.

Eastern Europe Region

Team Spirit dominated the region with a perfect 7-0, continuing the trend of CIS teams winning the DPC regional league without a single loss.

Virtus.pro’s renewed roster won the team third place, while underdogs PuckChamp and HellRaisers surprised many. Both teams ended in the top 4 places, despite PuckChamps being at the fourth-place last year, and HellRaisers coming up from a lower division.

China Region

China saw PSG.LGD climb to the top undefeated with a 7-0 record. The TI10 runner-up did lose a few more games than Spirit, but despite that, they still took the top spot and even sent Invictus Gaming to Division II for the next Tour.

Royal Never Give Up performed well with their new roster and took the second spot. Aster remains in the top four. In the meantime, EHOME made a come-back after a slow 2021 DPC season with the help of a brand-new roster they signed in November.

Southeast Asia Region

BOOM took first place in the region with a 6-1. They were able to remain in Division I for Southeast Asia’s Winter Tour due to Omega Esports being removed from the tournament. Some of Omega’s players were involved in match-fixing activities.

The second place was fought over by Fnatic, T1, and Team SMG. In the end, Fnatic won those matches 2-0, while T1 and SMG took third and fourth respectively.

South America Region

The region had only two returning teams playing with an unchanged roster from last season who finish in the top four. Infamous climbed to second place, improving their placement, while beastcoast dropped to third place after losing three weeks in a row.

Thunder Predator reign victorious with a perfect 7-0 with a rebuilt roster made up of mostly former NoPing e-sports players.

The Regional Finals will be held online, due to Covid-19 concerns and restrictions. Each individual prize pool is worth $100 000 and 380 DPC points. The six tournaments will be held across two weekends in February on the following dates:

February 11 to 14:

  • Western Europe, Southeast Asia, and South America

February 18 to 20

  • China, Eastern Europe, and North America
