  • The new Dota 2 patch is coming soon
  • Team Spirit share their ideas for future changes
  • However, Valve is the one making the final decisions

Team Spirit’s members posted a video suggesting what should be in the new Dota 2 update. This includes changes to the map, the economy, heroes, and items.

Team Spirit’s Players Give Suggestions

After nearly eight months of waiting, Dota 2 fans will finally get a new major patch. While fans get new content to Aghanim’s Collector’s Cache Valve revealed a new 7.31 patch that will be released on February 23. Many professional teams have made suggestions for what there should be in the patch, including Team Spirit.

In a video posted on the organization’s YouTube channel, its Dota 2 team’s members shared their opinions on the upcoming update. Offlaner Magomed “Collapse” Khalilov said the Radiant side of the map needed to be reworked since the three lanes were extremely close to each other. He also likes to see Ancient Camps on both sides of the jungle.

Collapse also thinks Outposts are somewhat redundant and he would like Shrines to be put back into the game. Coach Airat “Silent” Gaziev and captain Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naidenov seem to agree. According to Silent, Shrines could be reworked and may be disabled at times, for example when enemies are nearby.

On the other hand, carry player Illya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk said that both sides are balanced because the Radiant side has an easier time securing Roshan while the Dire side enjoys the ease of stacking neutral camps.

Meanwhile Miposhka and midlaner Alexander “TORONTOTOKYO” Khertek said that they were tired of the patch’s current map and would change it all. The captain suggested that there could be hills added that block a player’s vision, unless they are atop them.

The Pros Share More Ideas

Captain Miposhka also addressed runes and their randomness. “One minute before a rune appears, one will be notified about its location, so that one could come up with a plan beforehand, prepare your resources for the hero, or fight for the rune,” he said.

Additionally, Yatoro shared the idea that players whose Observer Wards remained intact for the entirety of their duration should get gold as a reward. However, Miposhka countered that by saying one can just put Wards in their base where they are safe, thus getting the gold after a few minutes.

Regarding changes to the heroes, Silent discussed how some hero combos may be beneficial. He gave the example of Clockwerk and Timbersaw are playing together where they can have a +1 regen or +1 armor if they are close to each other.

The team members discussed many other small changes suggesting buffs and nerfs to various items and heroes. However, Valve is the one who ultimately makes the decisions and we’ll see what they have done when the patch drops on February 23.
