  • Liiv SANDBOX’s defeat cements T1’s place in the Spring Playoffs
  • Even if T1 lose their next matches and drop to sixth place, they won’t lose the spot
  • The winner out of three other teams will join as the sixth contended in the playoffs

As Liiv SANDBOX loses to Hanwha Life Esports and LSB are unable to compete, T1 takes the fifth spot in the League of Legends Championship Korea Spring Split playoffs.

All Pieces Fall into Place for T1

Circumstances have guaranteed team T1 a spot at the LoL Championship Korea Spring Split playoffs. This happened due to two major factors.

First is Liiv SANDBOX’s loss to Hanwha Life Esports. For SANDBOX, this marked a fall to the very last place and deprived them of any claims for the playoffs. Second is the inability of team LSB to take up the spot, no matter how they perform in the following two weeks.

Thus the stars have aligned for the T1 team, and they have a secure place in the playoffs. They are currently in fifth place after vanquishing KT Rolster and Gen.G over the course of the last two weeks, partially due to Faker’s return to the lineup.

Now even if T1 they lose all their next matches and plummet to the sixth place, they won’t lose their playoff spot. This is also thanks to them scoring some good results against Nongshim RedForce and Credit BRION earlier in the competition.

There is one final sixth spot for the playoffs. Three teams will be locked in a hard struggle from which only one will come victorious and will take up the position at the playoffs.

The curtains of the penultimate week of the LCK Spring Split will draw open with a fervid match between DWG KIA and Gen.G. It will take place on March 18 at 2 am CT. DWG has scored at the top of the ranking and doesn’t have much to worry about, but should Gen.G fail, they will risk losing the second place their hard work has yielded.

“In fact, we would argue that Bitcasino’s esports product is one of the best we have experienced. It’s simple, clear-cut, and offers a variety of products and options that other platforms are failing to deliver on.”
