- Arjay “papadom” Domdom hired by T1
- He comes in place of Vladislav Katunin, a.k.a. Kreff
- After a decent season, T1 hopes to perform even better on the next one
Arjay “papadom” Domdom recently announced on Twitter he is joining T1 Dota 2 as manager.
Papadom Announces His New Position
T1 recently hired Arjay Domdom, a.k.a. papadom, as its new Dota 2 manager. This was announced by Domdom himself on Twitter, where the pro wrote that he has been a part of T1 for two weeks already. The was made on November 28 and papadom acknowledged that the announcement was long overdue.
In the post’s comments papadom also thanked many people, including Sir Eric M. Redulfin, the owner of TNC Predator, and Jim Paulo Sy, who has served as TNC Predator’s Vice President for Operations & Performance Coach. Papadom will now take the place of Vladislav Katunin, a.k.a. Kreff.
In his new position, papadom will have to work with the following players and staff:
- Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon
- Karl “Karl” Jayme
- Carlo “Kuku” Palad
- Kenny “Xepher” Deo
- Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon
- Park “March” Tae-won (coach)
Papadom’s Career
T1 did not choose Papadom for the position of manager blindly. The former TNC Predator Manage has already proven himself for the job with his previous work. He joined TNC Predator back in 2018 and served the organization until earlier this year when Predator decided to disband their current Dota 2 roster. In September the organization had revealed plans for composing a new player collective, but by that point, its old roster had already left along with papadom.
Papadom already has a history of working with March and Kuku when they were part of TNC Predator. Kreff, T1’s previous manager, had been in the managerial position since June this year. As his farewell tweet, he thanked March and T1 for the pleasure of working with them, and also wished papadom the best in his role as the organization’s new Dota 2 manager.
T1 achieved success in the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021. Naturally, the team is looking forward to even greater success in the next season. The team had a relatively slow start of the season but managed to pick up its game in the latter half. T1 finished first in the second league and third at the WePlay AniMajor. At The International 10 (TI10), the team finished 7th, following some decent performances.
Papadom’s managerial skills will soon have to be tested against no other one but his former employer TNC Predator. T1’s first series in the DPC Southeast Asia (SEA) 2021-22 Tour 1: Division will be against TNC Predator on 1st Dec 2021.
