Amouranth Banned from Twitch, Mocks the Platform

in Streamers
October 11, 2021
  • Amouranth has been banned from Twitch for the fifth time
  • The streamer responds to the ban
  • It is still unknown when Amouranth will be allowed back on the platform

Popular streamer Amouranth has been banned on Twitch for the fifth time, with some people saying this might be permanent.

Amouranth Banned for the Fifth Time

On October 8, the popular female twitch streamer Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa was banned for the fifth time in her career from the platform. She responded mockingly that Twitch is banning her in the middle of the turmoil the company is in.

The streamer has a series of bans on Twitch, with this being the fifth one so far. It coincides with some recent ones being on other platforms such as TikTok and Instagram. It is still unknown why the streamer received her most recent ban from Twitch, as it is the same case with the bans on her other platforms.

Amouranth has been a famous streamer for many years now, being a proponent of some recent Twitch “meta strategies” like ASMR and hot tub streams. The reasons for her fifth ban are still unknown and leave her fans wondering if this might be a permanent suspension.

Amouranth Mocks Twitch after Being Banned

Both Amouranth and her fans are still waiting to hear the reasons behind Twitch’s decision. In the meantime, however, the streamer has decided to not stay idle and addressed the recent debacle in her first YouTube upload since getting “deplatformed,” as she said it.

She expressed her annoyance at the ban in a series of Twitter posts, saying it is a strange feeling to get “deplatformed” on every platform she goes.

Getting “deplatformed” everywhere is a bizarre feeling

I have so much energy and a paucity of places to put it now. Will workout and make YouTube videos all weekend I guess. New video tomorrow talking about all this on my main YT

Financially I’m fine. could probably 3% FIRE

— Kaitlyn (@wildkait) October 8, 2021

She expressed the feeling that getting banned on multiple platforms nearly at the same time was seemingly a targeted attack on her. “Like Instagram, Facebook got hacked, I get banned. You know. Twitch gets hacked, I get banned. It seems like there’s a trend here.”

She said that despite the recent turmoil Twitch has been in, citing the massive leak last week, many well-known streamers leaving the platform, and the recent wave of hate raids that plagued the company in the last few months, Twitch still had time to ban her.

Amouranth has always made some risqué content, flirting with the platform’s regulations. “You know they didn’t seem to like my bird mask ASMR,” she said, showing clips of pigeon mask stream and licking microphones. She ended by saying that whatever Twitch does not like her doing lately, she has to find it.

It is still unknown when or even if Amouranth will be allowed back on the platform, but she is looking forward to streaming again.
