Amouranth Announces Plans after She Stops Twitch Streaming

in Streamers
November 26, 2021
  • The popular Twitch streamer revealed Twitch and content retirement plans
  • This involves the recent purchase of a gas station
  • Amouranth says she will continue to stream “for fun” for the time being

The popular Twitch streamer Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa revealed plans to end her streaming career which involve the purchase of a gas station.

Amouranth Announces Retirement Plans and… Buys a Gas Station?

Amouranth has been one of Twitch’s most recognizable faces and one of the world’s top female streamers. However, this might not be for too long as the Internet celebrity has announced plans of ceasing content creation. Curiously enough, this involves the purchase of a gas station.

Recently, the Internet sensation announced that she has purchased a gas station. It is not unheard of that streamers invest their cash into other businesses, like clothing brands and even video game development. Therefore, Amouranth’s purchase might seem a bit odd. Some have criticized the streamer that she is investing wrongly, while others have praised her business venture.

Now since we bought this gas station & in accordance with applicable laws (&/once structured correctly) I will take an accelerated depreciation charge of approximately $3m

$3,000,000 * .37 (my marginal tax rate) = $1,110,000

So for 2021 I will owe $1,110,000 LESS in income tax

Perhaps Amouranth is on the right track to invest her money elsewhere, as she has become somewhat of a meme for being one of the most frequently banned popular streamers on Twitch.

Amouranth’s Reasons for Retirement

Although she has not given a specific date when she will cease her content creation career, it seems that day is coming closer. In a series of tweets on November 25, she explained that she plans to continue to grind “until either it doesn’t make sense anymore, or at some point the passive income > active income”.

So for the umpteenth time, for the hecklers in the back, I will outline the plan briefly :

I basically plan to grind it out as long and as hard as I can until either it doesn’t make sense anymore, or at some point the passive income > active income

This makes the

Amouranth explained that her passive income would overtake her streaming income if her popularity in Twitch and her other platforms decreases much. She elaborated, saying that the world health situation might lead to her online presence declining, as it happened to one of her favorite animal shelters.

Into problems during COVID when their traditional form of financing / raising money (through events and fund drives) ran into problems due to restrictions on gatherings. And they had low visibility online presence.

I have a hunch my online popularity is also fleeting so it

Speaking of animal shelters, Amouranth explained that one of her goals is to create such a shelter, therefore she is investing her money in the gas station partially for this reason as well.

The superstar also added that by the time of the purchase, she had already saved up enough money to not need to work for the rest of her life, if she wanted to.

I Had already approximately saved enough to never work again if I didn’t want to. I could already “3% FIRE” at my then burn rate.

also everyone who’s always like “YOU BOUGHT A GAS STATION/REAL ESTATE/STOCK INSTEAD OF FUNDING THE SHELTER?!”

With all of this, it remains to be seen when, or even if, the streamer will stop her online activities. One also has to ask what will Amouranth do if she actually stops creating content. She has already been streaming nearly every day for over five years, so a departure of this type of active online lifestyle will definitely be something new for her and her fans.
