Can the Esports Audience Be a Game Changer for Sportsbooks?
Pinnacle Solution’s B2B marketing specialist, Sam Wright was interviewed during the SBC Summit Barcelona. He outlined that the esports audience is significantly important, especially when esports are positioned within a sportsbook product. According to Wright, some sportsbooks are considering keeping esports and sportsbooks separate.
The Summit gathered global leading operators, regulators, suppliers and industry stakeholders to discuss the latest developments in sports betting and iGaming. Moreover, the SBC Summit provided unique opportunities for developers to reach a global audience of decision-makers and share the latest updates within the industry.

However, he outlined that esports grants sportsbooks with “direct access” to an esports audience. Wright stressed that the esports audience is way different than other audiences. An example that he pointed out was that an esports audience can be a real “game changer,” especially when that audience is given a product that is “authentic and trusted.”
Participating in the Summit Helps Pinnacle in the Long-Term
When asked about being present at the SBC Summit event, Wright outlined that although online communication is great, nothing can beat meeting people in real life and collecting feedback in real-time. This, according to him helps Pinnacle “fine-tune” its products but also improves work relationships with existing partners. Last but not least, the summit helps build relationships with new partners.
Wright acknowledged that coming to the SBC Summit Barcelona is a key thing for the company. Moreover, he added that the Summit will “set the foundation” for what the company will do in the next 6 months or so. At the time of the interview, Wright said that there will be more details coming soon regarding the Pinnacle Cup which will be released at a later point.
Indeed, it didn’t take long before Pinnacle unveiled details regarding Pinnacle Cup III. On Monday this week, the company revealed that the third installment of the Pinnacle Cup CS:GO event will take place this November. The famous tournament will start on November 8 and run through November 23, 2021. Some of the best CS:GO teams around the world will compete in the event for a share of a $100,000 prize pool.
