- Team Secret hopes the new members will help the team catch up after falling behind in the European League last year
Team Secret got their hands on elite players SlebbeN and Gomfi in hope of making up for the team’s suboptimal performance at the start of the European League.
Team Secret Announces New R6 Lineup
Team Secret announced their new Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege team lineup in a tweet this Monday, March 8. Among the teammates will be newly acquired Finnish player Alex “SlebbeN” Nordlund and Belgian player Santino “Gomfi” de Meulenaere. The two new players have been added in the places of the now-departed Peter “pacbull” Bull and Ville “SHA77E” Palola.
SlebbeN and Gomfi lastly played in the North American League and just returned to Europe. During their stay oversees the professional gamers sadly didn’t manage to play as much as they hoped. At first they faced visa issues and when they finally got to play, were quickly benched by the Soniqs organization they had joined because of inappropriate attitude.
Team Secret’s Prospects in Competitive R6
Team Secret did somewhat poorly in the first stage of the European League last year. Their bad luck seemed to follow them around to the second stage. Luckily, as time progressed, they did manage to slightly better their performance and even won the GSA League. However in the end they were outmatched by G2 Esports during the finals.
The European League continues this March 18 with slight changes. The Cowana Gaming team was promoted after winning a relegation tournament and Chaos EC got relegated so neither will be present.
Now is the time for Team Secret to buckle up and make the most out of the technical excellence of their newly acquired teammates.
