- Houston Outlaws becomes inaugural partner for Belong Gaming Arenas in the United States
- The first gaming facility for the club and the company will open on August 6
- Belong Gaming Arenas and the Outlaws have numerous plan to boost engagement on the venue and draw out a crowd
The Houston Outlaws have become the official partner for Belong Gaming Arenas as the company is breaking into the US market.
Houston Outlaws to Help Belong Gaming Arenas' First Steps
Belong Gaming Arenas is ready to break ground in the United States after the company has teamed up with the Houston Outlaws, an Overwatch League team. The partnership lays the plans for the future growth of similar gaming arenas around the US but starts with an inaugural facility that will open at the Pearland Town Center in Pearland, Texas.
The date is set for August 6 and the facility will focus its efforts on activities that drive fan engagement and welcome gaming fans to attend in-person events, such as a meet-and-greet with the team's players and watch parties.
On top of everything else, the facility will feature a 4,800 sq ft of gaming space where 48 gaming stations will be placed, ranging from PlayStation 5 to Xbox Series and PCs. Belong Gaming Arenas CEO Martyn Gibbs welcomed this opportunity and commented on the partnership, arguing that it's an opportunity to build upon the rich history of esports and gaming in Texas, all thanks to the Houston Outlaws.
“We’re fortunate to be able to tap into this passionate community alongside the Outlaws and build upon the growing gaming culture in Houston through the establishment of the first-ever Belong location in the US,” Gibbs added and said that he was looking forward to working with the team.
Expanding In-Person Gaming Arenas in US
Houston Outlaws parent company, Beasley Esports, quickly joined the conversation, welcoming the opportunity. Beasley COO Lori Burgess said that the company was thrilled to support Belong Gaming Arena and its first forays into the US market.
“Through this partnership with Belong, we’ll help bring gamers back together in this exciting, community-oriented, state-of-the-art venue — and applaud Belong for making H-Town their first location! We look forward to celebrating with Belong and all the Outlaws fans in Pearland,” Burgess said.
The partnership is not a chance opportunity as well. As an Overwatch League franchise, the Houston Outlaws are part of the structure that introduced the arena format in esports and demonstrated that frequent live game attendance is not only feasible but expected from fans.
Recently, the Houston Outlaws inspired the Overwatch League to join their efforts in donating money to charities that fight for women's rights and against women's mistreatment at the workplace.
