Fans can directly support their favorite VCT teams by buying Team Capsules, which will include themed Classic and AR Inspect skins and other items.

Riot Announced VCT 2024 Team Capsules

VALORANT’s cosmetics are a hugely important part of the game. Its esports scene is also a major part of the larger ecosystem. Therefore it should not be surprising that the two can be combined. Developers Riot Games released its latest line of in-game cosmetic items which are made in collaboration with the 44 partnered VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) teams.

What this means is that each team will have an in-game capsule available for fans to buy. Each of these will contain Classic and AR Inspect skins with unique firing sounds and a recolored muzzle flash. The capsules will also include a custom player card co-created by VCT teams, as well as an exclusive gun buddy and spray set, inspired by the team’s logos and color schemes.

Fans will be able to purchase the cosmetics from their favorite esports organizations through VALORANT’s in-game esports hub which Riot recently re-launched ahead of the start of the competitive season. Capsules for partnered teams competing in VCT Americas, EMEA, and Pacific will be available from February 21st. Meanwhile, teams competing in the newly-formed VCT China will see their capsules launch in May which will coincide with Masters Shanghai.

It’s a Great Way to Support Organization

It should also be noted that 50% of the profits will go directly to the corresponding organization. This makes the cosmetics capsules a great way for fans to support their teams.

Leo Faria, Global Head of VALORANT Esports, was keen to point this out. “We’re excited to launch the VCT Team Capsules and give fans a way to directly support their favorite teams and express their fandom in-game. The Capsules represent our commitment to building a thriving economic ecosystem around VALORANT Esports,” they explained.

This isn’t the first time that Riot Games has utilized such in-game methods to support teams. The first time such a campaign was launched three years ago with the VALORANT Champions 2021 bundle. Last year, Riot Games also launched such a campaign which resulted in more than $33 million being shared with VCT-partnered organizations.

“Together with our partner teams, we are taking the next step to build a sustainable model for esports and the greatest competitive experience in gaming,” Faria explained.

“In fact, we would argue that Bitcasino’s esports product is one of the best we have experienced. It’s simple, clear-cut, and offers a variety of products and options that other platforms are failing to deliver on.”
