  • OG has reportedly signed four new French players to its VALORANT team
  • The organization dismissed most of its players after failing to achieve notable results in 2021
  • The organization isn’t quite ready to give up on VALORANT, however

OG has reportedly finished assembling its new VALORANT roster and will soon appear on the competitive scene with an all-French team.

OG Isn’t Done With VALORANT

The esports organization OG has finally assembled its VALORANT roster for the upcoming competitive season, according to reports. The news was first reported by Dexerto and Cybersport sources.

The reports claim that OG is giving up on its ideas of fielding a team of multinational athletes and will instead focus on a fully French team.

The various changes come in the wake of the team’s suboptimal performance throughout 2021.

OG joined professional VALORANT at the beginning of the year by signing the Monkey Business roster. Although the organization was set for a good start, it failed to achieve any significant victories in the last VCT season. The team’s performance was so unimpressive that the organization stopped playing officially in July.

Because of this, OG dismissed most of its players back in October. The big cleanup eventually left but a single player among OG’s ranks.

After saying its goodbyes with Harry “DPS” MacGill, Kevin “TviQ” Lindström and Tomas “Destrian” Linikas, the organization ended up with only Benjamin “uNKOE” Chevasson on its team and Julien “daemoN” Ducros as a coach.

OG doesn’t plan on giving up VALORANT, however. According to the aforementioned reports, the team has already completed its roster and will soon announce the acquisition of four new players.

Dexerto and Cybersport’s sources said that the team first thought of continuing with an international team and eyed athletes such as Patryk “paTiTek” Fabrowski and Jacob “pyth” Mourujärvi. Yet, in the end, OG preferred to stick to an all-French team, reportedly signing Joey “fxy0” Schlosser, Théo “OniBy” Tarlier, Elian “MateliaN” R, and Mathieu “LaAw” Plantin.

With the new acquisitions reportedly in place, the final roster will look something like this:

  • Benjamin “uNKOE” Chevasson
  • Mathieu “LaAw” Plantin
  • Joey “fxy0” Schlosser
  • Elian “MateliaN” R
  • Theo “OniBy” Tarlier

OG should announce whether this is correct or not very soon.

If the reports turn out to be correct, people expect the all-French team to participate in the French national league.
