The Minnesota Twins Support the MNVL

The premier esports production company Wisdom Gaming has teamed up with the Minnesota Twins baseball franchise. The agreement will see the sports team as an official sponsor of the spring season of the Minnesota Varsity League – Wisdom’s academy esports league.

The deal will see the MLB franchise sponsor 32 livestreams for the regular Varsity League season, 3 streams for the MNLV All-Star Weekend and 6 for the MNVL State Finals. In return, Wisdom Gaming will promote Minnesota Twins’ branding across all of those livestreams, as well as on the league’s official website.

As a partner of the Varsity League, the Minnesota Twins join other sponsors of grassroots-level esports, such as LeagueSpot, MN Rokkr GWOOP and Torrent.

The League Trains the Next Generation of Esports Athletes

Chris Iles, the senior director of brand experience and innovation for the Minnesota Twins is delighted by the opportunity to support esports. He noted that the league’s dedication towards providing esports opportunities to the youth is commendable:

“The commitment that Wisdom has put forth with MNVL is an incredible testament to the innovation that exists within esports, and the Minnesota Twins are proud to foster this spirit – and its ability to empower the full potential of our youth – within our state.”

Nicole Du Cane, the vice president of business development and sales for Wisdom Gaming is delighted to have the support of the Minnesota Twins. According to Du Cane, this sets a good example for students and parents, allowing them to see the growing support towards the next generation of athletes.

Jake Utities, the director of the Varsity League, said that he feels a sense of pride in having the Minnesota Twins as the first tier-one sponsor of the league. He emphasized that the MNVL was created for the students and that the baseball team’s support is greatly appreciated.

The MNVL was founded in 2019 and provides free esports competitions to aspiring athletes. Over the past few years, the league has grown to cover over 50 schools and is now entering its fourth season.
