  • Imane “Pokimane” Anys has decided to stay on Twitch, citing its customizable chat as one of the main reasons
  • She added that she cannot reveal much about the new deal because it is confidential information
  • Pokimane celebrated her decision with a car giveaway, alluding to Ludwig’s recent announcement

Pokimane has decided to extend her Twitch deal, instead of switching to YouTube as some suggested.

Pokimane Isn’t Changing Platforms

Imane “Pokimane” Anys, one of the most influential female streamers in gaming, has renewed her streaming deal with Twitch. The decision refuted the theories that she is about to leave the platform.

Pokimane’s previous contract just expired, leaving fans to wonder whether she will extend her Twitch deal or explore the possibilities of YouTube Gaming. However, it looks like Pokimane is not going anywhere. She addressed her fans in a stream, telling them that the YouTube Gaming chat just isn’t on the same level as the Twitch one.

Twitch, as a whole, has offered its streamers a much more personalized experience, which is a huge part of why YouTube Gaming is yet to overtake it as a leader in streaming. While Twitch has been involved in many controversies throughout the years, many streamers, Pokimane included, prefer its comfortable layout.

The content creator didn’t reveal much about her new deal as it is mostly confidential information.

Pokimane Celebrates Her Choice with a Giveaway

Pokimane accompanied her announcement with a car giveaway.

“Instead of choosing between a red or purple car, I’M GIVING ONE AWAY,” the influential content creator announced.

This move is most likely a reference to Ludwig Ahgren’s platform switch announcement. Ludwig is another influential streamer who recently switched to YouTube Gaming after Twitch failed to recognize his contribution. In his promotional video, Ludwig represented his decision as choosing to change his old car for a better one.

Ludwig isn’t the only one who has switched to YouTube Gaming. Many streamers have been unhappy with the way Twitch treats its content creators and have chosen to instead pick the fast-growing YouTube alternative. One of Pokimane’s best friends in streaming, 100 Thieves’ co-owner Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter, is one of the first big names to make this switch. Valkyrae’s contract also expired recently but she just renewed it as well.

The silent feud between Twitch and YouTube Gaming is one of the most important things in the industry now. While many doubted that the purple king could be toppled, YouTube Gaming has been steadily gaining momentum.
