  • Popular former LCS caster Olivee May recounts her experiences at the OWL
  • She was amazed at what the league had to offer
  • She thinks OWL provides better content than the LCS

Popular caster personality Olivee May expressed her satisfaction with the recent OWL Midseason Madness event and said the League has better content than the LCS.

May Shares Her Experience at the OWL

The Overwatch League is in its Midseason Madness stage and casters are working tirelessly to provide fans with exciting updates on the action. One popular face fans will recognize is Ovilee May who joined the OWL commenter desk alongside Custa and Reinforce. In a recent stream, May expressed her satisfaction with her time at the Overwatch league during the latest Midseason Madness.

That being said, May’s initial thoughts on the OWL were not that positive, however, this time around her experience in the League was different and she had a more fun experience than she expected. When the OWL first reached out to her, she thought it was some kind of a joke, but May decided to help out.

“One of the things that I have done since the Overwatch League since its conception is I have shit on it,” the caster said. However, she quickly rebutted that claim by saying how much fun she actually had the past week.

As a former LCS caster, May also shared some personal insights on it and the OWL. She thinks that the latter far outperforms the LCS in terms of broadcasted content as It allows casters to have a large amount of influence over the way it’s presented.

“The fact that they allowed all of us on the desk to implement these weird and creative visions spoke fucking volumes,” May explained. “When it comes to a tournament on this scale, usually there is a little bit more buttoned-up, professional[ism]. [OWL] allowed creativity and [were] not afraid to take these risks and take chances.”

May is currently taking the spot of fellow broadcast personality Soe Gschwind, who had to temporarily embark on maternity leave. May will eventually return the broadcasting seat to Gschwind but is still looking forward to doing other things with the OWL.

The Midseason Madness event ended with a win for The Loss Angeles Gladiators who continue their streak of success as the season ventures past its halfway point. With an estimated viewership of over 70 000 people, according to Esports Charts, the event was a huge success.

“In fact, we would argue that Bitcasino’s esports product is one of the best we have experienced. It’s simple, clear-cut, and offers a variety of products and options that other platforms are failing to deliver on.”
