  • Three popular champions will be included in the game
  • They will be released on November 17 and December 21
  • One for All is also coming to Wild Rift

Riot has announced big plans for Wild Rift’s upcoming patch 3.5, featuring one of the most popular game modes and Worlds 2022 champions.

Aatrox, Kayn, and Lillia Arrive in Wild Rift

Three popular League of Legends champions are coming to Wild Rift – Aatrox, Kayn, and Lillia. The former of these was one of the most popular champs during the 2022 League of Legends World Championship. Lillia will be released on December 21 with Wild Rift’s Patch 3.5b, however, Aatrox and Kayn will be coming to the game on November 17 with the full Patch 3.5.

In their official announcement, Riot also revealed Kayn’s abilities which are going to be similar to the League version of the champion. Players will still be able to choose between the jungler’s more tanky Red version, or his more assassin-like Blue version. Players familiar with the jungler from League won’t have much to learn in terms of his kit, since his skills are almost a full copy of his original abilities.

Riot has yet to reveal details about Aatrox and Lillia’s abilities, but taking into consideration Kayn’s kit, the other two champs should not have many differences from their League versions. Aatrox might have a particularly interesting impact on wild Rift’s meta, considering he had a 100 percent pick and ban rate at Worlds 2022, according to stats site Oracle’s Elixir

One for All Coming to Wild Rift

Popular champions are not the only big things coming to the game with Patch 3.5. Riot is also bringing in one of the most popular League game modes to Wild Rift – One for All. It will be released on November 18, a day after the debut of Aatrox and Kayn.

When players enter the game on the day, they will see a separate queue for the One for All mode. Players can ban up to five champions during the pick phase. Once the ban phase is complete players can each choose a champion they’d like to play in the next match. Bear in mind you and your teammates are voting on the champion, which you’ll all be playing in the next match, so if a champion has more than one vote, it’s more likely they will be picked.

The One for All mode is actually quite old, having debuted in League of Legends in 2013. Due to the unique features of the mode, many champions’ abilities had to be tweaked for balance purposes, so it will be interesting to see if Riot is going to implement such changes for Wild Rift as well.
