  • The popular dev is moving to Texas where he plans to open the studio
  • He did not share much information about the game and said he is currently looking for devs
  • Street hopes to be able to share many things from the creative process once things get going

Having worked on popular titles like League of Legends and World of Warcraft, the ex-Riot MMO lead designer will be creating his own studio and game.

Street Creates New Studio

The League of Legends MMORPG has been in the works for many years and executive producer Greg “Ghostcrawler” Street was one of the key people for it. However, there has not been much information about the game’s development and it seems its creation is struggling. This was not helped by the fact that Street stepped down from his position as director and left Riot last month.

However, the game developer is not retiring from game development. Instead, he announced that he is moving to the other side of the USA with the intention to be closer to his family and to create a new studio that will develop a new MMORPG.

When thinking about what kind of a person could make an entire game studio from scratch, Greg Street might quickly come to mind. The high-profile dev was head of the Riot MMO for years and he has also previously worked on popular titles like World of Warcraft for five years. After that, he joined the League of Legends team where he worked on Arcane, Realms of Runeterra, and K/DA.

What’s Next?

Unfortunately for followers of the popular game dev, he did not reveal much information about his future plans. Street did not even share the studio’s name, nor a lot about the game he is planning to develop. The only things that are currently known are the game’s genre, an MMO, and that it’s still very early in its development.

“Rather, the purpose of this message is that we’re still looking for a few elite folks to round out our adventuring party,” Street explained in a follow-up Twitter post. “We will hire less experienced devs later (and yes some with no experience) but for now we are looking for leaders with serious industry experience.”

In other posts, Street explained that the studio will rely on remote offices. This is in large part due to the fact he wants to stay close to his family in Texas. He also explained that the past few years spent in Riot made him realize what he wants to achieve in the future, as he wants to work on games that he is passionate about.

Street also acknowledged that things will be quiet for the time being as everyone is being set up, but he plans to often share the working process.

From our 5 star review…

“In fact, we would argue that Bitcasino’s esports product is one of the best we have experienced. It’s simple, clear-cut, and offers a variety of products and options that other platforms are failing to deliver on.”
