Reginald, co-owner of TSM, got a $5000 fine going his way after being “out-of-line” in addressing player Vulcan.

In Midst of Discourse, Reginald Gets Angry, Resulting in $5000 fine

Lifting the import restrictions concerning the LCS in North America had sparked major discussions among the members of the League of Legends community. Thus it’s hardly surprising that at least one such debate derailed and went out of control.

Andy “Reginald” Dinh, co-owner of the Team SoloMid esports team let, in his words, “his emotions get the better of him”.During a conversation about the import restrictions, Reginald reportedly made a verbal attack against player Philippe “Vulcan” Laflamme.

The TSM team representative stated that if every LCS team is to leave, players such as Vulcan would be out of a job, and paid minimum wage at that.

Abide by Code, Says Riot Games

However Reginald isn’t just any casual LoL enjoyer who can say something like this with no repercussions. Being a team owner, he has to adhere to the LCS 2021 rules as do all the participating team members.

The rules extend outside what’s in-game and forbid derogatory conduct outside League matches as well. Thus Riot made Reginald pay a $5000 fine, LoL interviewer Travis Gafford reports.

Reginald promised to learn from this and try to speak in a more controlled manner for the future.

Vulcan accepted the apology. He claims he didn’t take it personally. However the player agrees that as a team owner, Reginald would do best to try and show better composure instead of attacking others.
