Teams from around the globe will compete for the lion’s share of the quarter million prize pool at the Halo Championship Major Atlanta 2024, hosted by FaZe.

FaZe to Host HCS Major

Halo has long been a staple of FaZe Clan’s extensive reach of games the organization is involved with. For this reason, the esports franchise has announced it will host the 2024 Halo Championship Series (HCS) Atlanta Major. This is the third Major of the 2024 HCS season and it will take place during the weekend of July 26 to 28 in the Gateway Center Arena at Atlanta’s College Park.

“As our first major collaboration with FaZe Clan officially in the GameSquare ecosystem, we are thrilled to be partnering with 343 Industries to bring the Halo Championship Series to Atlanta,” said Justin Kenna, CEO of GameSquare, the owner of the FaZe franchise. “This moment combines for the first time GameSquare’s event production expertise alongside FaZe Clan’s unmatched esports pedigree. Add the iconic Halo universe to the mix, and we believe we have the opportunity to create an unforgettable event for gamers and fans alike.”

The company has been expanding its influence in the gaming and esports circle a lot recently and hosting the HCS Atlanta Major is yet another direction of development. Last week, GameSquare announced FaZe Media, a new endeavor to expand the FaZe Clan IP.

What Is the Tournament’s Format Like?

Being an international event, the HCS Atlanta Major will feature 96 teams from around the world competing for four spots in the group stage. The rest of the group stage participants are comprised of FaZe Clan’s roster as well as the other HCS partner teams. All of them will duke it out to win glory and the lion’s share of the $250,000 prize pool.

In addition to the main competition, the HCS Atlanta Major will feature a $5,000 free-for-all tournament. This will be open to spectators and other players, making it a great way for would-be Halo pros to try out their skills.

By hosting the Atlanta Major, FaZe Clan joins three other organizations hosting HCS events in 2024. 343 Industries announced the HCS 2024 roadmap in January, but at the time it was not known if FaZe would host a tournament. Now, the organization joins OpTic Gaming, Spacestation, and Quadrant as presenters of HCS events which conclude in October with the Halo World Championship.

“In fact, we would argue that Bitcasino’s esports product is one of the best we have experienced. It’s simple, clear-cut, and offers a variety of products and options that other platforms are failing to deliver on.”
