Fly Announces Stormstormer’s Departure

BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 is almost at its end with the final match of the tournament being held later today between Team Falcons and Team Liquid. This means that many teams have already been left out at lower spots in the event, one of them being nouns. The North American squad finished at a somewhat disappointing 9-12place and in the wake of that defeat, it is undergoing some changes.

The biggest one so far is that mid-laner Daniel “Stormstormer” Schoetzau is parting ways with the team. Nouns’ support Tal “Fly” Aizik posted a video on his personal Twitter account where he talked a bit about the situation. We recently got back from BetBoom Dacha and the tournament really didn’t go the way we wanted it to. We ended up losing in the groups and even though we had some good wins in there, it wasn’t just enough,” the team captain explained. “So, ultimately we decided to part ways with Stormstormer.”

During the BetBoom Dacha 2024 Dubai, nouns were eliminated early in the group stage, failing to secure any series win. The team was competing in Group B and went up against the likes of BetBoom Team, Xtreme Gaming, and Azure Ray, managing to end in a draw with these teams. However, nouns also lost to Spirit and OG, which resulted in them ending the group stage with a score of 0-3-2, which meant they were knocked out of the tournament.

What Will Happen Now?

With Stormstormer out of the team, nouns need to find a new player soon. Fly further thanked Stormstormer for the time spent in the organization and called him an incredible person. The team’s captain also said that nouns will be announcing “something” regarding its new team member very soon.

As for the now-ex-nouns player, he replied to Fly’s post by also thanking him and wishing him and the team the best of luck in their future endeavors. “It was truly a lot of fun to work with you and the boys and we will meet on many more LANs, I am sure of that,” Stormstormer wrote.

For now, the 25-year-old player is sitting on the inactive roster of Entity as he was technically a stand-in for nouns. However, the tournament was also a trial period for Stormstormer, which unfortunately, he did not go through successfully.
