OG Announces Origins

The careers of esports players can sometimes be very fascinating. From the way they entered pro play to the long and difficult roads they have had to walk to achieve victory, their stories can often be very compelling. To reveal the lives of its players, OG Esports has announced the launch of a documentary series called “Origins” in partnership with betting company 1xBet.

Divided into episodes, the new series will explore the players’ backgrounds and reveal some details about their personal lives. Origins will also shine a light on all the elements that have led the Dota 2  team to success, focusing on telling various personal stories of the players. The organization hopes this will give a more “human experience than ever before” to fans.

Fans of the esports organization will be able to see exclusive premieres, interviews, and more. The first episode of the series will air on May 23 and it will feature 21-year-old Dota 2 professional Matthew “Ari” Walke. More episodes covering other OG players will be released later in the year.

The series is being produced with the aid of bookmaker 1xBet with whom OG has been a partner since 2022. 1xBet is one of OG’s many partners. The esports company has also worked in the past or has currently ongoing deals with the likes of Red Bull, fintech startup Wintermute, mobile app, and more.

The Series Builds On Previous Work

Dan Sanders, Chief Commercial Officer of OG Esports said the company always tries to showcase the human side of esports. According to him, the new documentary series should give fans a “deeper connection to the players they admire and pay tribute to the incredible journeys that have made them who they are today.”

This is not the first time the esports organization has produced its own documentary series. In the past, OG created the “Road to TI” documentary which went over the squad’s journey to Dota 2’s The International. The organization is quite popular for winning The International in 2018 and 2019. Origins has been created on the success of the Road to TI series, so fans should expect a quality production.

Aside from fielding its highly successful Dota 2 team, OG also has rosters in Counter-Strike 2 and Rocket League. In 2021, the org also created a VALORANT team, but that disbanded a few months later after it failed to make it to the EMEA VALORANT partnered team league.

From our 5 star review…

“In fact, we would argue that Bitcasino’s esports product is one of the best we have experienced. It’s simple, clear-cut, and offers a variety of products and options that other platforms are failing to deliver on.”
