  • Mikhail “Misha” Agatov is now officially OG’s new Dota 2 head coach
  • Misha will be replacing Sockshka who will take the role of an assistant coach instead
  • The new head coach hopes to guide the team to its third The International victory

Mikhail, whose skills helped OG qualify for The International 10, will become the team’s new head coach.

OG Welcomes Misha to the Team

Mikhail “Misha” Agatov has officially carved his name into the esports organization OG by becoming the Dota 2 team’s head coach for The International 10. His recent contributions have cemented him as a valuable asset in the team’s arsenal.

Sébastien “Ceb” Debs and Johan “N0tail” Sundstein welcomed the new head coach to OG.

“We want to publically welcome Misha into the OG family! We started working with him after a rough season, and we immediately felt the change,” Ceb said.

OG had some quite unfortunate results in the latest professional Dota 2 tournaments and had failed to qualify for two Major events in a row. However, since taking Misha in a few months ago and making him a coach in June, the team felt a change for the better.

“He has poured his soul into this project since day one, and he was a key part of us qualifying to TI10. He is young, he is confident, and we believe he is going to really help us be the best version of us for TI10,” Ceb explained.

N0tail also welcomed the coach. He said that playing under his guidance has been a blast.

“You deserve a lot of credit for the transformation the teams have gone through,” N0tail said to Misha, “We are very grateful for the last few months of work, but the most fun is still ahead of us! An honor to go to TI with you!”

Misha Will do His Best to Have OG Win for a Third Time

Misha is a former Team Spirit player who got removed from the organization at the end of 2020. Since then he had some short-lived stints with various teams but is now finally settling down. Misha will be replacing Titouan “Sockshka” Merloz. Sockshka will remain in the organization but will take the position of an assistant coach.

Misha joins OG in a very turbulent year. OG, once known as champions of two The International events in a role, struggled to qualify for a single Major. The team almost missed its chance for The International 10 but barely managed to qualify for the event through the Western Europe Qualifier. Thanks to that victory, OG is back on track and will have the chance to score a historical third TI victory in a row.

“It’s a big honor for me to help my favorite team succeed. I’m super happy to be working with OG, can’t wait to see where this journey takes us,” Misha said.

The new coach seems excited to guide his team to victory. Whether OG manages to defend the champion title or has it snatched away is yet to be seen at the upcoming TI10. The event begins on October 7.
