Tundra Esports’ Adventurous New Head Coach

Former esports athlete Kurtis “Aui_2000” Ling has joined Tundra Esports as the roster’s new head coach. Aui will work to guide Tundra’s players to victory as the organization seeks to cultivate talent in the long term.

Aui is a seasoned professional with a decade of experience both as a player and as a coach. He has played in several iterations of The International, eventually winning The International 5 as a part of Evil Geniuses. Despite being labeled as a champion, Aui never settled for a single team and failed to become an EG staple.

Aui eventually retired from playing professionally and started coaching, then he once again returned to competing, before trying out a little bit of commentating as well.

Most importantly for Tundra Esports, Aui is someone who has always been able to cooperate and synchronize, despite changing teams and roles so frequently. Furthermore, he is someone who isn’t afraid of thinking outside the box and is known to take risky gambits with unconventional item builds and high-effort support characters. His daring and adventurous nature will be a strong asset for teaching the team’s players to be brave and confident.

Aui Will Seek to Build a Strong Sense of Camaraderie Before Anything Else

Speaking about his new position as a head coach, Aui commented that he thinks winning and losing matters less and what’s really important is forming a strong synergy between the players.

“Obviously I want to win, but for me, what’s most important is that we have that strong foundation, we have the right communication where we are letting our ideas be built up by each other. And, hopefully winning is a consequence of what we’ve built together,” Aui explained.

In the ranks of Tundra Esports, Aui will rejoin Jingjun “Sneyking” Wu and Oliver “skiter” Lepko – two of his former comrades, whom he played with under Fata’s banner. This will further boost the team synergy and will help Aui build his coveted robust foundation.

In an esports world where players come and go, Tundra Esports has decided to be the exception and instead focus on cultivating talent, instead of acquiring it. The organization is committed to establishing a strong community of players who are happy to play together, know their strengths and weaknesses. Tundra Esports wants to create a team that is built to last and therefore signed its players to contracts through 2024.

Tundra is scheduled to have its debut in the 2022 DPC Winter Tour later today. The new DPC season is set to change competitive Dota 2 as it was in 2021 so there will be plenty of opportunities for Tundra’s players to show off the results of their training.

“In fact, we would argue that Bitcasino’s esports product is one of the best we have experienced. It’s simple, clear-cut, and offers a variety of products and options that other platforms are failing to deliver on.”
