  • Nordavind has revealed that it had released its CS:GO roster on August 1
  • All former members are now free agents and will seek new teams
  • The players are unlikely to compete in a new organization together, at least not immediately

Nordavind is going to replace its released CS:GO roster with the organization exploring its options ahead of the competitive Counter-Strike season.

Nordavind Releases CS:GO Roster Before Summer Break Ends

Esports organization Nordavind has put its entire CS:GO roster up for transfer with players Jesper “tenzki” Plougmann, Daniel Mertz, Kevin “HS” Tarn, Anton “supra” Tšernobai, Sabit “mirbit” Coktasar, and head coach Joshua “m1cks” Micks now looking for a new team.

The CS:GO community has been vibrant with many shifts in recent weeks. While some teams have dropped rosters, others have embraced them for the first time. According to the official release by Nordavind, the measure is in effect since August 1. However, the organization is only looking to bring in new representatives, not drop the roster entirely.

“We are not leaving the scene and will soon reveal our plans for the future,” the team said in a statement. Any questions, though, must be directed to Stein Wilmann, who is responsible for communication affairs.

This is a quick turnover for Nordavind which added the players to its midst in February but has since decided to look for a new crew. Nordavind’s players definitely didn’t fare too badly, almost winning the Elisa Invitational Spring in April.

Even though their performance can be described as a “qualified success,” the team did show improvement over the period, but a breaking point for Nordavind could have been the ESEA Advanced Season 37 Europe where the team placed in the last 9th to 12th slots, followed by a missed opportunity to make it into ESEA Season 38.

In a Twitter statement, tenzki explained that the departing team members will most likely try to benefit from their free agency status and go their own separate ways. He was calm about the decision and explained that the players had tried their best coming together under the Nordavind’s banner.

Competitive CS:GO returns in full force starting on August 16, which means that the team will still have some time to make it into potentially new competitive squads.

“In fact, we would argue that Bitcasino’s esports product is one of the best we have experienced. It’s simple, clear-cut, and offers a variety of products and options that other platforms are failing to deliver on.”
