  • Rumors say the American organization is set to sign slaxz- for their Counter-Strike roster
  • The player has averaged an impressive 1.20 rating over the 2023 competitive season
  • He will likely replace Adam “WolfY” Andersson if the rumors turn out to be true

ALTERNATE aTTaX announced the transfer of Fritz “slaxz-” Dietrich without naming the new team, which fuels the rumors that M80 have acquired the German player.

Rumors Suggest M80 Is the New Owner

When the competitive Counter-Strike season comes to an end, many players leave their teams in an effort to find offers that suit them better. This is often done without the player having much of a certain idea of who is going to sign them next. However, this does not seem to be the case for German AWPer Fritz “slaxz-” Dietrich who recently left his organization ALTERNATE aTTaX (Aa).

Despite there not being any official information about the 24-year-old’s new organizations, Dust2us’s sources have told the news outlet that slaxz- will be acquired by M80. The American esports organization has allegedly already reached an agreement with ALTERNATE aTTaX for the player’s transfer for an undisclosed sum of money. However, neither M80 nor the player has yet confirmed this information. Despite that, Aa sent off their AWPer by saying he has been acquired by another team without naming which one.

What’s Slaxz-‘s Career Like?

German first joined the team in early 2019 and spent two years with it, helping Aa win several B and C-tier events over that time. This was enough for him to get noticed by Sprout, an arguably more popular German organization, which offered slaxz- him a spot on their roster. The player accepted it in early 2021 and spent another two years with the team.

After a series of mixed results, slaxz- rejoined Aa early in 2023 and competed with them in many lower-tier events. Despite that, his performance saw an increase with the player now sporting a respectable 1.20 average rating across all competitions.

With M80 now allegedly signing the German player, he is likely going to replace Adam “WolfY” Andersson in the North American team. The Swedish-American player has struggled a bit with the AWP during the last two months, averaging a 1.03 rating since signing with M80 in July.

If the rumors turn out to be true and M80 confirms the signing of slaxz-, then their Counter-Strike roster could look like this:

  • Michael “Swisher” Schmid
  • Ethan “reck” Serrano
  • Marcus “maNkz” Kjeldsen
  • Mario “malbsMd” Samayoa
  • Fritz “slaxz-” Dietrich
  • Rory “dephh” Jackson (coach)
