  • They will be replacing Frederik “?Fessor?” Sørensen and Benjamin “?brzer?” Jensen
  • The two have already proven themselves in recent months
  • Astralis hopes to develop both players “as individuals and team players”

Astralis is bringing in two young Danish players with promising careers to fill in the gap left after Fessor and brzer left the organization.

New Faces Join Astralis

WePlay Academy League Season 5 recently concluded and Astralis promptly announced the signing of two new players to their academy roster. The organization adds two new young Danish players called Kristoffer “?Kristou?” Aamand and Nicklas “?jarko?” Rasmussen. They will be replacing Frederik “?Fessor?” Sørensen and Benjamin “?brzer?” Jensen, the latter of whom has gone on to sign for ECSTATIC.

This decision comes about just after Astralis Talents, the organization’s academy team, finished fourth at the WePlay Academy League Season 5. The organization was just a stone’s throw away from a podium finish but was denied the opportunity after losing to runners-up Spirit Academy.

Kristou previously played for AGF for the best part of four months, with the 20-year-old averaging a 0.96 rating across 52 maps. In March this year he stepped away from the game temporarily after being a stand-in for Into the Breach in the FantasyExpo EU Champions Spring 2022 UK & Ireland closed qualifier. However, he is now ready to play for Astralis’ academy CS:GO team.

Meanwhile, Jarko, the younger of the two players, comes to the organization after spending most of the year with Los Reyes. During his five-month stint, the 18-year-old player helped his team win the POWER Ligaen Season 19 Finals over MASONIC.

Astralis Puts Its Hopes in the New Player’s Hands

Director of Sports Kasper Hvidt said in a press release that he is content with the time the two players Kristou and Jarko will be replacing. He said that Benjamin “?brzer?” Jensen was a very talented player and Hvidt is happy about making a good deal for all parties with ECSTATIC. Hvidt also said the same about Frederik “fessor” Sørensen, whose contract was terminated by mutual agreement.

Now that the two have Astralis, the organization welcomes Kristou and Jarko with open arms. Hvidt briefly mentioned both players’ achievements and explained he is eager to help them develop their skills further.

“The goal for Astralis Talent is to develop players as individuals and team players,” Hvidt explained. “We want Astralis Talent to be an internal recruitment platform with players who can support our main team and develop into players who are ready to play on a higher level, either with us or someone else.”

Astralis Talents now looks like this:

  • Victor “?vigg0?” Bisgaard
  • Alexander “?Altekz?” Givskov
  • Mikkel “?MistR?” Thomsen
  • Kristoffer “?Kristou?” Aamand
  • Nicklas “?jarko?” Rasmussen
  • Andreas “?MODDII?” Fridh (coach)
