  • The CS:GO veteran will be joining an all-French team
  • The news comes just hours after G2 announced JACKZ has left the organization
  • He brings many years of experience to HEET

Just hours after fans were shocked by Audric “JACKZ” Jug’s departure from G2, they were delighted to learn he was signed by Belgian organization HEET.

Shockwaves were sent into the fanbase of G2 when the organization announced longtime player JACKZ is leaving its CS:GO roster. The 30-year-old Frenchman was a staple of the organization’s team for almost four years, sharing many of its successes and failures. He was considered by his fellow teammates as a selfless player whose personality plays a large part in contributing to a positive team atmosphere.

Despite the news of him leaving G2 coming as a surprise to many, JACKZ has already found his new home. Belgian esports organization HEET announced it has acquired the Frenchman for its CS:GO team just a few hours after G2 reported JACKZ had officially left its roster. He will be replacing Lucas “?Lucky?” Chastang who was benched earlier this week after eight months on the active lineup.

“We are pleased to welcome JACKZ to the team. He was at the base of the DBL PONEY project, and we are delighted to be able to, finally, re-work together,” said HEET’s Team Manager Vivien “GoY” Goyon in the organization’s official statement. “We are sure that his experience and qualities will help us to reach our goals more quickly.”

JACKZ Brings a Ton of Experience to HEET

By signing with HEET, JACKZ completes the organization’s all-French team. He comes to the organization carrying many years of experience on the professional stage. He joined G2 from 3DMAX in November of 2018, becoming a staple of the squad for the next two years as the team transitioned from a fully French roster to an international lineup in 2019.

Averaging a 1.00 rating during his almost four years with G2, the Frenchman helped the team finish runners-up at various big events such as IEM Katowice 2020, IEM Cologne 2021, and PGL Major Stockholm 2021, and IEM Katowice 2022. Despite his efforts, however, JACKZ was not able to help his team claim a big trophy, with the exception of the Champions Cup Finals in late 2019.

These setbacks led to JACKZ starting to search for new options in late June, resulting in his current employment by HEET. He will be joining an all-French team he knows very well. The team has a huge potential to climb the ladder and be part of the best,” said JACKZ, “I’m looking forward to bringing my experience and my energy to this family to start this new adventure.”

It will be exciting to see how this veteran will fair with his fellow countrymen.
