  • HEET is in the middle of restructuring
  • Bodyy and Afro leave the organization almost exactly one year after joining it
  • The duo will be splitting into two different teams

HEET confirmed weeks of rumors that it is not going to compete at EPL Conference Season 17 by parting ways with Alexandre “?bodyy?” Pianaro and Aurélien “?afro?” Drapier.

HEET Parts Ways With the Players

The French professional CS:GO scene has been experiencing quite a lot of shifts recently, and while some like star CS:GO legend shox is announcing his new team, other teams are disbanding. HEET is one of the latter organizations, which has announced it is parting ways with two of its players ahead of the EPL Conference Season 17.

The two players that are leaving the team, because it is reorganizing, are Alexandre “?bodyy?” Pianaro and Aurélien “?afro?” Drapier, both of whom have a long history playing together. In 2020, they both joined LDLC, staying together after their departure from the French organization and through the formation of DBL PONEY. During that time, they helped the team reach recognition in European circles until they were acquired by HEET in January 2022. Almost exactly a year after that, however, the organization announced on Twitter it is parting ways with the duo.

What Do the Players Leave Behind?

Both players helped HEET achieve decent success in 2022. The team performed well in several online events, and even won a few such as Elisa Invitational Spring 2022, ESL Challenger League Season 40 Europe, and Malta Vibes Knockout Series 5. Unfortunately, HEET failed to translate their early success to offline events.

This prompted the organization to try out some changes, the first one being in August when Lucas “?Lucky?” Chastang was moved to the inactive roster. With this, he made room for Audric “?JACKZ?” Jug following the Frenchman’s departure from G2. However, the revamped roster didn’t fare better and HEET was forced to leave the IEM Road to Rio in 12-14th place.

“We had some amazing moments together, such as qualifying for the ESL Pro League and winning many tournaments,” HEET wrote in a statement. “We were also a couple rounds short of qualifying for the Major two times.” The organization then thanked both players for the multitude of unique talents they brought to the team.

Now the duo is expected to split up, with afro going back to LDLC, where he and bodyy first met. Speaking of bodyy, he is expected to join Falcons to replace Jordan “?Python?” Munck-Foehrle according to initial information. HEET is in the middle of restructuring and their team currently looks like this:

  • Pierre “?Ex3rcice?” Bulinge
  • Audric “?JACKZ?” Jug
  • Thomas “?Djoko?” Pavoni

Matthieu “?matHEND?” Roquigny (coach)
